If you want a rubber duck for the bath, this is great. Our baby girl loves seeing this little chap at bath time.
If you want something to tell you if the water is too hot, get something else. The hot logo is always visible and takes some judgement and debate as to whether or not it’s changed to indicate it’s too hot or if just got wet.
As a consequence, we’re back to the good old fashioned elbow for our temperature assessments.

I used to have a turtle thermometer to test the temperature in my kid’s bath. That would tell you if the water was cold, warm, or hot, and the actual temperature. It broke (through no fault of the company) and I was in search of a replacement. I figured that I didn’t actually need all of those features, I just needed to know if/when the water was too hot. I take pretty hot showers personally and feel that my internal temperature check is a bit off.
This duck was a huge disappointment. The…

So, this little guy floats around and lets me know if the water is too hot. Pretty basic, right? One might be offended, thinking what the heck, I can tell the temperature of water for Pete’s sake, but I, having grown up in the glorious days of hand-washed dishes, am said to be made of Teflon. I can pick up blazing hot coffee and sip it right out of the pot. I’ve been known to yank hot soup out of the microwave with my bare hands. Is that pizza done yet? Let me stick my finger in it. Given…

I used this for a topper for a duck theme baby shower cake. It was so inexpensive and looked great on the cake. I liked that they can take it off the cake and use it when the baby arrives as a special remembrance of the baby shower.
Without having used it for the purpose it has meant for (in the bathtub) I can only say that the packaging was nice, it seemed very well made and my experience with this companies products for my own children have always been great.

My daughter for some strange reason is mad about ducks and even her first word was duck not mummy or daddy so she now has quite a big collection of bath time ducks to play with but I wanted another to add to her collection and saw this one with the temperature indicator not really something I was looking for as I find the back of my hand or an elbow more than sufficient but as it looked nice and of good quality with a reasonable price so I went for it.
It is very good quality and no leaks, I…

Bought this for baby due in January as I don’t trust my own elbows (having had scorching hot baths myself for years, nothing really feels too hot to my elbow). Decided to try it out when getting a bath myself (for the same reason, baths aren’t meant to be above body temperature when pregnant). I found the indicator on the bottom didn’t even appear the same as the one in the picture, there is heart shape in white with hot (which remains blue) inside of it. As you can see from the pictures,…

I bought this duck after some cheap ones we used before grew mold. My 18 months old absolutely loves it. I love that it can’t grow mold inside and it’s pretty solid plastic. The heat sensitive disc on the bottom is just a perk for me. It floats well, dries quickly, perfect for play in or out of the bath tub. I’ll probably buy this for other families in my family with babies/toddlers.

What can you say about a rubber ducky? It floats, it squeaks and it’s shaped like a ducky! Perfect for kids bath time. I got a few of these for my mother with Alzheimer’s to trick her into taking a bath more often, as she has become claustrophobic and argues about bathing anymore. Oh the things we do for our kids/parents. I hope my kids will do the same for me when I am 80 and need to be entertained in the tub.

All my life, I have wanted a rubber ducky. I may be 60 years old but now I finally have fulfilled my dream of having a rubber ducky of my own. I know this sounds ridiculous. However, until you actually have a rubber ducky sitting on the edge of your bath tub, you really do not know the joy of seeing it there every day. Although I don’t use the temperature feature, it is a great thing if you have little kids although I am not sure why you can’t just stick your hand in the water to make sure…

Awwwwww I honestly just got this because it is (at the time) the most reasonably priced bath duck I can find. ***Note** duck looks as on sellers photo. Beak is rounded not shaped as seen on some older reviews***
Its super sturdy, floats well and I didn’t want it to squeak as those are harder to clean. My baby is still small And i just wanted something colourful in the bath as I love taking her baby bath photos and this rests perfectly on her to get pictures without making her feel completely…

Its a good little bath toy, but as a temprature gage I personally didn’t find it that helpful as it felt more cold then actually warm to me. When used alone so I got a digital bath gage to compare it to which is obvious that the digatal would be better. But that being said I had the bath at 37°c and the duck only slightly went a little faded not the strong white so its just a little off, other then that for its price its pretty good and cute. The Rubber duck is also a nice size and quite sturdy.

For such a simple and inexpensive product, this thing is one of the most durable and valuable things my 19mo has in the bath. What I love about this item compared to competitive products is that there are no pinholes to draw water in. As many parents know, mildew growth is a problem with some rubber bath toys as there’s no good way to clean them other than a mild bleach solution to kill the growth inside. And even that’s not a comfortable fix to the problem of mildew.
Now Munchkin figures…

This doesn’t do the 1 thing it’s supposed to, tell you if water is a safe temperature for a baby. It says “HOT” on the bottom at room temperature. The indicator does turn a brighter white when in hot water, but that’s not helpful. Also, it’s not BPA free, so it really shouldn’t be anywhere near people, let alone a child who is likely to put it in their mouth. How on earth does this have 4.5 stars? It was cheap, well reviewed, and from a major brand, and yet I wish I had read the comments…
